![[murray-minute.png]] Greetings! It is hard to believe that August is almost over. We have been hard at work and I am happy to report that our committees are finally organized and starting to get to work. I know people are chomping at the bit to SEE progress. I can assure you that I am chomping at the bit too. But as I have said previously, getting processes and structure in place takes some time. There have been bumps in the road, but I truly believe we are getting past a lot of the “noise” and moving in the right direction. The new website will be ready after Labor Day weekend. We finally had to put up an “under construction” landing page because we could not edit the old website. I have heard the call that you want to hear from me more often, so I am resurrecting Murray Monday Minutes to give quick updates on whatever is hot each week. I have also heard the call that I haven’t been giving updates on issues and that I pledged transparency. I have always planned to disclose all the problems we encountered, but I wanted to speak about them in the past tense. Unfortunately, it has just taken longer to get to a place where I could share the “problems” as well as the “resolutions.” So here is what has been going on: - I previously shared that we lost the ability to email and had to move to a new email service. The compliance and verification process was very intensive with the new rules about “subscribing” to emails. It took weeks to get through all the hoops. This is why you may have seen a request to subscribe even though you were already on the list because it helped “validate” our list. We are going to continue to work on this project. - I mentioned above that we lost the ability to edit the website, so we have had to start over entirely and reconstruct it. While this has been intense, the new website will be AWESOME and have functionality that will be great going into the election season. - The new headquarters move has had A LOT of details and coordination – we should be up and running this coming week. - All of the above has had to happen with very little money. We have been working hard to clear debts from our ledger, but even this past weekend, I was informed of yet another debt that goes back at least two years. I have been criticized for not discussing the nature of our finances more openly, so I want to explain my rationale. I pledged unity. As a result, I believed that if I discussed where we were financially, it would be viewed as “bashing” our previous Chair – and I didn’t want to do that. There is no point in looking backward – we must look forward and laser-focused on the 2024 election. We ARE making progress and moving in the right direction. Please become active and part of the solution instead of part of the problem. We can all agree that we are in dark times as a state and nation. So, let’s remember this famous quote from Aristotle: “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.” So let’s focus intensely and see the light…it is roughly 14 months away… ![[murray-signature.png]] Chair of the Delaware Republican Party <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GOKPbdQLF5Y?si=7l8ugNisavXNBA4f" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOKPbdQLF5Y ![[gop-logo.png]]
